What is the SMT PROCESS

 

SMT is the abbreviation of Surface Mounted Technology and is currently the most popular technology and process in the electronics assembly industry. SMT patch refers to the abbreviation of a series of technological processes that are processed on the basis of PCB. PCB means Printed Circuit Board.

1. Semi-auto solder paste printer: Its function is to print solder paste on the PCB pads through the stencil to prepare for component placement. The equipment used is a solder paste printer located at the front end of the SMT production line.

2. PCB conveyor: The employee puts the PCB board on the conveyor, and then moves it to the placement machine through the belt. Use SMEMA signal connection between the machines to automatically enter the placement machine.

3. Pick and place machine: Its function is to accurately install SMD components on a fixed position on the PCB. Located behind the docking station in the SMT production line.

4. PCB conveyor: Automatically transfer the PCB board from the placement machine to the reflow oven. The middle sensor has a stop function for manual detection.

5. Reflow oven: Its function is to melt the solder paste, so that the SMD components and the PCB board are firmly bonded. The equipment used is a reflow oven, located behind the placement machine in the SMT production line.
